The previous build stays on our download server until the next one replaces it: download the previous build (checksum).
The last 10 builds (up to 90 days old), as zip files from GitHub. Each zip holds the installer, its checksum and its signature. GitHub asks you to sign in (a free account) before it downloads.

Before you start

Computer	A 64-bit PC from the last ten years that starts in UEFI mode. Old BIOS-only PCs are not supported.
Memory	8 GB recommended, 4 GB minimum.
Disk	64 GB free.
USB stick	16 GB or more. Everything on it is erased.
Backup	Of anything on the drive you install to.

Install

Download the installer above, and check it if you like: compare its SHA-256 with the checksum link. On Windows, run certutil -hashfile followed by the file name and SHA256.
Write it to the USB stick with Fedora Media Writer, Rufus or balenaEtcher. In a virtual machine, attach the file as the CD instead (VirtualBox: UEFI on, 3D acceleration off).
Start the PC from the stick: restart and press the boot menu key (often F12, F11 or Esc).
Click Install Steel OS, choose the disk, create your account, then Restart now. Your apps install themselves after the first login.
